    Salt House is seeking a host. A successful candidate must have a genuine ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner. The position requires an energetic and enthusiastic personality as well as someone who can work well under pressure, and has the experience to make instant decisions in the dining room. Understanding of Open Table is a must.

    Established in 2006 by Town Hall and Anchor & Hope owners Doug Washington and brothers Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal, Salt House has been an integral part of the ever-evolving South of Market district for over a decade. Salt House offers a Contemporary American menu with international flair, highlighting Executive Chef Evan Gotanda’s focus on locally sourced, seasonal ingredients along with his background in Asian, French and Italian cuisine. To complete the Salt House experience is Bar Manager Gabe Cothes’s award-winning cocktail program and an international wine list curated by award-winning Sommelier Haley Guild Moore.

    Located in an old printing press established in the 1890s, the building’s beautifully exposed brick, high ceilings, raw fixtures and warm lighting create a unique ambience for diners. On the mezzanine level of the dining room is a 168-square foot, semi-private, open air loft that provides a perfect cozy, yet lively space for intimate group dining experiences.

A successful culinary group in San Francisco is actively seeking a PM line cook. This is a full time position. Hands-on, fast paced cooking environment with seasonally changing menus produced fresh daily. Must be a strong team player with a desire to excel, possess good knife skills and positive energy and attitude. Strong work ethic and passion for cooking a must.
Minimum 1 to 2 years moderate to high volume fine dining cooking experience required. Equivalent training via an accredited culinary institute will also suffice. Experience cooking fish and/or meat proteins is sought for this position. Competitive wages for motivated cooks.

Reservationist

Stock and Bones, the restaurant group responsible for Salt House, Town Hall and Anchor and Hope, is seeking a part time reservationist. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills to book reservations, answer busy phones and complete light office work. Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry is a plus and the right candidate must have the ability to genuinely interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner. This position provides great hands-on experience in the hospitality field. Proficiency with Open Table is also a plus.
